Wayne Siemers founded Wayne Transports, Inc. in 1950, which he began with a single truck. That first truck was a “White” branded model 3000 cabover, which was based in Milaca, MN. Wayne happened to be color blind, with Red being the only true color he could see. Thus, leading to the trucks in the fleet to always be Red. Currently, Wayne Transports is under the ownership of Wayne’s son, Mark Siemers, and Wayne’s son-in-law, Carl Vedders. Mark and Carl’s sons (Jess, Cole, Ryan, & Trent) currently operate the day-to-day operations. Wayne Transports is a 3rd generation, family-based, performance-driven trucking company focused on customer service, that specializes in the transportation of bulk commodities including petroleum products, LP, chemicals, dry & liquid food grade products, asphalt, and a few others.
In honor of their 75th anniversary, Wayne Transports had this 2024 Peterbilt 389x built and customized with all the options available, naming it “Old Red.” This truck has a 63” flat top sleeper with a 272” wheelbase, and is painted in Viper Red with chrome accents and pinstriping, all finished by hand. “Ole Red” is powered by a Cummins X15 motor. The fuel trailer has been painted to match the truck using the same Viper Red color and graphics.
Presently, Wayne Transports operates mainly around the Midwest, while also delivering to the lower 48 states, including Canada. The fleet logs 60 million miles per year with roughly 750 tractors and 1,000 trailers, all adding up to approximately 240,000 deliveries annually.
