The D7C model was introduced by Caterpillar in 1955, and among other improvements, it came with a new and more powerful D339 engine. The D7C was used for general bulldozing, pan pushing, tree dozing, scraper towing and other types of construction work. Production of D7C ended in 1959, when it was replaced by the D7D.
