Model History and Information: The Cat® D11 is one of the largest track-type tractors Caterpillar builds, designed for high-production dozing and ripping in mining and heavy construction. It combines a powerful Cat engine, an elevated-sprocket undercarriage, and a heavy ripper to move large volumes of material, and it is a benchmark machine in surface mines around the world.
