This Allis-Chalmers TS-300 Motor Scraper was made exclusively for the 2007 National Toy Truck 'N Construction Show that was held on August 17-19, 2007 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In the early 1950s,Allis-Chalmers watched attentively as its competitors moved rapidly into the very popular rubber-tired earth-moving equipment industry. Therefore in 1952, A-C acquired the LaPlant-Choate Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, primarily for the multi-model line of "Carrimor" tractor-drawn scrapers, as well as bulldozers and other related equipment. Very shortly after the purchase of LaPlant-Choate, Persian Orange paint and the Allis-Chalmers decals went on the Carrimor line.
The Allis-Chalmers TS-300 Motor Scraper was one of the primary models acquired in the LaPlant-Choate acquisition.. The TS-300 Motor Scraper was in its sixth season of production when A-C acquired LaPlant-Choate.
The TS-300 Scraper was rated for a capacity of 18-yards (heaped) and was powered by a Buda six-cylinder 844-ci supercharged engine rated at 280 horsepower or by a Cummins engine of 265 horsepower. The Cummins engine was discontinued shortly after the A-C purchase. A four-speed constant-mesh transmission provided speeds of 3.4 to 25.4 miles per hour. Like most competitive machines of that time, it was cable-controlled. The TS-300 weighed slightly less than 24 tons and could carry a maximum load of the same weight. The Alli-Chalmers TS-300 had a price tag of $33,975 at the end of 1954 when it was replaced in the product line by the TS-360. The total production of the TS-300 Motor Scraper was approximately 1,070 units through 1954.
