Chevrolets from 1955, ’56 and ’57 are considered some of the most desirable American cars from this period. Each year has its devotees and many consider the 1957 cars to be the most complete. Described in Chevrolet ads as being ‘Sweet, Smooth and Sassy’, there were 19 models in the three established series. Over 47,000 Bel Air convertibles were built during the 1957 model year.
